This chapter of the National Lawyers Guild is dedicated to creating progressive change in the structure of the Arizona political and economic system. NLG–Southern Arizona is committed to advancing, among others, the following objectives: (1) to dismantle racism; (2) to bring together all those who recognize the importance of safeguarding and extending the rights of workers, women, LGBTQ people, immigrants, people with disabilities, and people of color; (3) to maintain and protect our civil rights and liberties in the face of persistent attacks upon them; and (4) to use the law as an instrument for the protection of the people, rather than for their repression.
