Our Mission: We will disrupt any agenda that undermines the values of equality, truth, kindness and integrity by: 1. challenging our members of congress to stand up for our values, 2. increasing voter education and turnout, and 3. ultimately, ensuring our vision is faithfully represented by our elected officials. This is a group to be used to help direct and organize all Denton County people who are gravely concerned about the Trump Agenda and who wish to cohere around 'Indivisible: A Practical Guide for Resisting the Trump Agenda.' At the request of our members this group is closed. Our first priority is Unity. We are united in defeating Trump's authoritarian tactics and the extreme right wing agenda of his enablers. As such this group is for sharing information and action plans. Rules: 1. Discussions and dialogues are encouraged. We don't expect threats of violence or name calling. Should that occur, please report to admins right away. 2. To create space for the possibility of other voices, two posts a day limit, comments and likes are not limited. - 3. All posts should be able to be tied to actions that resist the Trump agenda and support our community's commitment to Resistance as outlined in the Indivisible Guide. Spam, non-Indivisible fundraising and business promotions will not be allowed. 4. Comments on posts must be germane to the original post. 5. Candidates and their teams are aware of posting campaign related restrictions. Due to character limits, those policies are not posted here, but will be posted on our website and linked here as soon as the site is up, thank you. 6. If a member trolls multiple posts, admins reserve the right to block that person. 7. Due to the volatile and unproductive nature of 'Bernie Versus Hillary' posts, they will no longer be allowed. Anything that may be perceived as 'Anti Bernie' or 'Anti Hillary' will be removed without warning. Pro progressive posts are acceptable. However, posts should be action oriented in resisting the Trump agenda; please refer to policy 3. Maintaining these standards will enhance appeal to a broad base. This is a long game and there is much to lose, so we must do all we can to develop a welcoming and inclusive culture of civically engaged people. Administrators will remove members who violate these standards, after one warning.
