The Greater Birmingham NOW chapter of the National Organization for Women serves Birmingham and surrounding areas. Our priority issues include promoting body positivity, supporting marriage equality, and stopping domestic and dating violence. Greater Birmingham NOW is a local chapter of the National Organization for Women. We are part of feminist activism within our community. Greater Birmingham NOW works locally to help promote advocacy for body positivity, stopping domestic violence, and promoting marriage equality. We also address other issues as they relate to activism. Our aim is to have a positive presence in the community and spread awareness about the issues surrounding our area. Our meetings happen once a month and are open to anyone who wants to take part in making Birmingham a place that focuses on equality and fairness to all! Our mission is to promote human rights in Alabama through intersectional feminism, education, outreach and policy change.
