On February 14, 2018, Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School was attacked by a man with an assault rifle. Seventeen students and members of the faculty died. Others quickly became activists. Upon seeing their strength, determination, and courage, we became inspired to create our own student run organization to be a platform for the voices of students and young people. We are so often ignored by lawmakers who turn the other cheek. They do not pay attention to the voices, opinions, cries, and anguish of young people. Instead, we are exploited for profit.
