On January 21, 2017, the women of America came together to defend America’s soul in the largest public demonstration in our nation’s history. Of the five million women and allies that marched across the country, 1.2 million joined in Downtown LA, creating an imprint in history as Women’s March Los Angeles. Growing into a movement, Women’s March LA successfully held two anniversary marches, continuously executed programming and has now evolved into Women’s March Foundation, a powerhouse organization spanning across the nation.
In 2020 women are rising to affirm that women’s rights are human rights and human rights are women’s rights. Women are rising to power and demanding justice for people of all genders, ages, races, cultures, political affiliations, disabilities and backgrounds. In the 2018 midterm election, a record-breaking 103 women were elected to Congress and have risen to assert powerful and courageous leadership in every area from the economy to foreign policy to government accountability.
Women’s March Foundation's annual march creates a space in the midst of Los Angeles for powerful speakers, activists, artists and community leaders to rise and share work . The 4th Annual Women’s March LA was a moment when women rose for justice, rose for equity, and continue to rise in power.
