This Windham Area Progressive Action group was created to facilitate communication for interested folks who want to support actions and initiatives in resistance to the 2017 presidential administration and its unjust legislation. We have formed alliances with other local groups doing this good work Recently we contributed to passing a Sanctuary Resolution for the Town of Windham on Jan. 17th, 2017 and holding a large March and Rally in downtown Willimantic on Jan. 20th to show our support, solidarity, and commitment to our undocumented immigrant community. Currently, WAPA has formed Subgroups. These groups will meet and report back to the larger WAPA gathering and alert our members to related actions and events that we all can support.
