Uplift Syracuse is a progressive advocacy group, working to create a more equitable city by supporting social justice efforts throughout the surrounding region. We are developing a grassroots network to push for changes we hope to see in New York. Uplift Syracuse is a progressive advocacy group, working to create a more equitable city by supporting social justice efforts throughout the surrounding region. We are developing a grassroots network to push for changes we hope to see in New York; including a single payer healthcare system, a transition to renewable energy, increased educational funding and equality, housing and economic justice, and reversing the trends in urban segregation. We plan to organize events that will increase outreach efforts and education, to actualize this vision. We will support progressive candidates running for public office who share these goals, and will continue to push for legislative and electoral change at the city, county, and state level.
