Three Rivers Affinity Groups

Three Rivers Affinity Groups, based in Acton, Concord and surrounding towns, was formed right after the election to provide mutual support for those dealing with grief, anger, sadness, fear, etc. Members include long-time activists as well as newly 'woke' folks who want to understand the dynamics of the recent election and find ways to work together to protect the most vulnerable communities and to build an effective resistance to Trump and his enablers in Congress. Future action may include direct action protests, working within faith communities to build broad-based support for the resistance to Trump policies, providing aid and sanctuary to undocumented refugees who face deportation, and developing support for critically important organizations such as ACLU, Massachusetts Immigrant and Refugee Advocacy Coalition (MIRA), Progressive Massachusetts, Black Lives Matter, and for other groups and elected officials who are part of the effort to protect the most vulnerable and develop grassroots support for progressive policies. We are a local chapter of Progressive Massachusetts. http://www.progressivemass.com This Facebook page is a useful way to communicate but we gain much more from being together and acting together. Please join us at our next meeting, Saturday, January 6, 10:30-12:30 at Maynard Public Library. Questions?
