The Power of Many-MN Mission Statement The formation of this group was inspired by the document, Indivisible. (Indivisible is available here: https://www.indivisibleguide.com/ ) This handy and inspiring document explains how a relatively small group of concerned citizens can work together to change the government’s course. By coordinating efforts, showing up, and making ourselves seen and heard, we can make our public servants take notice. We can make a difference! The goal of this group is to band citizens together to resist Trump’s hateful agenda by targeting the public servants who represent us-our US Senators and Representatives. Please use this platform to share your ideas and/or any tools that you have found useful. Invite any like-minded friends, who would like to participate. Now that the legislative session has begun, we will follow our public servants’ agendas closely. If (when) we find that they are making choices that are detrimental to the wellbeing of our democracy, we can use our collective power to do the following: Make phone calls Attend and participate in Town Hall meetings Show up and distract at PR events Speak to reporters and journalists Demand that our public servants work for us! The Power of Many will model respect and fairness with fellow members, the staff working for our public servants, our Senators and Members of Congress, and other protesters. We will win our fight with facts, decorum, and sticktoitiveness. A democratic government exists for its people. If the government forgets this, we will be there to remind them! This is a scary time in America, but we cannot lose hope. We must fight for the freedoms that we love and hold dear to us.Activity status unknown.
