WHO IS TEAM 19? Our site: http://www.team19.us We're progressive women, gender nonbinary folks and male allies fighting for our values during Trump's administration. While our activism tackles national issues, we're primarily focused on Wisconsin, and specifically on Dane County and the city of Madison. WHAT ARE OUR VALUES? As a group, we voted to focus on women's rights, economic empowerment, racial justice and the environment, but we also advocate for a variety of progressive, liberal causes. HOW DO WE SEEK CHANGE? We send two specific, informative-but-succinct weekly emails; read on for details, or view the latest editions here: http://team19.us#newsletter On Sundays, we send a digital newsletter with a rundown of progressive-oriented cultural, educational, political and social events in or near Dane County for the following week. Subscribe: http://actions.team19.us Team 19's executive committee also helps coordinate quarterly activism events, such as workshops or thank-you writing parties. WHY ARE WE CALLED TEAM 19? In 1919, Wisconsin became the first state to ratify the 19th amendment – giving women the right to vote. Almost a century later, we're banding together to channel that same pioneering spirit. We are strong, intelligent and compassionate women and men. Together, the possibilities for change are endless. We will not stop fighting for what we believe in.
