This page was created by Women Rising Up for our members and allies. WRU is centered in Allegan, MI but includes all surrounding counties in it's local scope. Our group focuses on four core values: Human and Civil Rights, Education, our Environment, and Health. Because each of these issues transcends party lines, we consider ourselves a trans-partisan group. We favor inclusive solutions that consider multiple political party perspectives, and believe in the power of collaboration and varying points of view. We strive to preserve laws that protect the rights of all humans and the earth that we share, and to peacefully resist attempts to oppress or suppress marginalized groups, individuals, or information. SW Michigan Rising Up welcomes all women and allies, regardless of ethnicity, gender identity, socioeconomic status, sexual orientation, religious views, age, and abilities. We support principles over personalities, actions over appearances, and positivism over pessimism.
