Stronger Together. What started as a campaign slogan has become a mantra for many North Carolinians who are committed to building an America that’s hopeful, inclusive, and kind hearted towards each other. Many of us are looking for concrete actions and steps we can take to make a difference in our communities and state. Stronger NC is fighting for a better future for North Carolina. Whether it is combating racism, bigotry, homophobia and misogyny or being active in local and national legislation, Stronger NC is dedicated to: Supporting organizations, groups and peoples who will be most adversely affected by national, state and city governmental decisions and legislation. Cultivating a culture of data-driven, fact-based activism that crosses the boundaries of age, socioeconomic status, gender identity, religion, political party, race, nationality, disability status or sexual orientation. Fostering compassion, empathy, positivity and loving kindness towards all peoples and groups regardless of their chosen path or decisions. If you are interested in imparting meaningful, long-term and sustainable change for our region and state, we welcome you to join us. State FB page: https://www.facebook.com/strongernc/ Stronger NC - Asheville/WNC -- Watch for a daily #CALLTOACTION (and search for that # if you don't see them right away). We originally banded together as a chapter of Pantsuit Nation. Now we are moving forward. The purpose of this group is to (1) support each other in view of 45's hatred and bigotry, (2) help each other find ways to advocate for the civil liberties 45 and the GOP Congress have begun eroding, (3) share and plan meetings, gatherings, etc. to educate and DO. If you want to get involved on a hyper local level, the best, most effective place to do that is in your very own precinct. Buncombe County meetings will be February 25 and March 4. If you share a link, make sure your clear in your purpose and that it is to promote discussion and activism. Please double check to be sure that you're not posting the same thing someone else has shared and refrain from sharing advertisements. As always, let's be sure our posts aren't personally attacking others - #gohigh. For now, this group is 'closed,' which means people can find the group and request to join but cannot see the posts. As always, DO NOT SHARE what others post in this group without their explicit permission. This is intended to be a safe place.
