NOW chapters focus on six priority issues including reproductive rights, ending sex discrimination/constitutional equality, promoting diversity and ending racism, economic justice, stopping violence against women, and LGBTQIA rights. Our chapter welcomes new members to help fight for women's rights on the local and national level. Join with other Idaho women to fight for all of our rights. Women will not go back. We will fight back! We will not be defined by our setbacks; we will be defined by our courage, our drive to fight for equality, and our determination to demand our fundamental rights. Access to abortion care, equal pay, racial justice, LGBTQIA rights, an end to sexual violence, and more: these are the human rights we claim. We will not stop until our government recognizes them in full. Feminists keep fighting. I pledge to fight for equality in my community, and stand strong with feminist activists around the country. NOW is an intersectional, multi-issue, multi-strategy organization that takes a holistic approach to women’s rights. Our official priorities are winning economic equality and securing it with an amendment to the U.S. Constitution that will guarantee equal rights for women; championing abortion rights, reproductive justice along with other women’s health issues; opposing racism; fighting discrimination based on sexual orientation or gender identity in all areas, including employment, housing, health services, and child custody; and ending violence against all women, no matter race, age, or socio-economic class.
