NOW chapters focus on six priority issues including reproductive rights, ending sex discrimination/constitutional equality, promoting diversity and ending racism, economic justice, stopping violence against women, and LGBTQIA rights. Our chapter welcomes new members to help fight for women's rights on the local and national level. Sacramento NOW is the Sacramento chapter of the California National Organization for Women (CA NOW) Sacramento NOW takes an inclusive approach to feminism and does not discriminate because of actual or perceived race, ethnicity, national origin, age, marital status, gender identity, abilities, sexual orientation, parenthood, or any other category protected by federal and/or state laws. The issues we work on include reproductive justice, economic justice, environmental justice, marriage equality, promoting diversity, and ending violence against women. California NOW is looking for local feminists and activists in the Sacramento area to re-establish the Sacramento NOW chapter. Sacramento NOW is dedicated to taking action to achieve women's full participation in society which includes but is not limited to equal rights and responsibilities in all aspects of citizenship, public service, employment, education, and family life.
