Founded in 2016, Progressive Taunton, a local chapter of Progressive Massachusetts, is a community of individuals and organizations dedicated to the idea that everyone deserves a real opportunity to achieve the American Dream. We strive to advance our community toward a future where the values of equal opportunity, social and economic justice, consumer and environmental protection, health care as a right, equal access to quality public services, respect for all residents, and accountable and transparent government are given top priority. At a time of severe polarization in our society, we value civil discourse and perspectives supported by reason, science, and documented facts. We invite all progressives, regardless of political affiliation, to join this group. In order to assure that Progressive Taunton is an appropriate venue all members, we ask all prospective members to answer this question: “What are the three progressive goals that you would like to see become reality in your community?”
