We plan to continue the Revolution that Bernie Sanders began, and our focus and alliances will evolve as we gain new members and new ideas. The purpose of this meeting is to get to know each other, and to discuss long-term vision, short-term goals, which individuals and groups we would like to work with, what skills you would like to contribute to the group, where we plan to meet in the future, when we plan to meet, how often we will meet. We will also take some concrete actions at the meeting to support Bernie's health care bill, to support voter rights, and to show opposition to proposed tax cuts to the top 1% of Americans. Currently, our short-term mission is to • Fight for Medicare For All • Fight for Voting Rights • Fight against Tax Cuts to the Richest 1% of Americans • Identify Issues that New Members are Most Passionate About Tentatively, we will work in conjunction with • Hendersonville NAACP • Rev. Dr. William Barber in the Moral Monday movement • Democracy NC • Leaders of Our Revolution, including Nina Turner • The most progressive political candidates • The most progressive local groups (e.g., The Democratic Socialists of America and Green Party) • Other Groups that New Members Recommend • Other Groups that New Members Recommend
