The nation's oldest and largest civil rights organization, works to ensure the political, educational, social, and economic equality of human rights. The mission of the Missouri State NAACP is to ensure the political, educational, social, and economic equality of rights of all citizens and to eliminate race-based discrimination. Working to remove barriers of racial discrimination through democratic processes. To seek enactment and enforcement of federal, state, and local laws securing civil rights. Also, to inform the public on the effects of racial discrimination and to seek its elimination. By educating the community to take legal action to ensure their constitutional rights are protected. Our founder of the NAACP W.E.B Du Bois created this organization to provide a platform for African-Americans to unite to solve racial issues that occur within our community.To help enhance our social, political and economic opportunities.
