Together we can Resist Trump. This is a local chapter of the National Indivisible Group. We will post actions and events in which together we can fight against Trump's racism, authoritarianism and corruption. __________________ Community Guidelines __________________ FELLOW RESISTERS! The admin of this Facebook group (which overlaps with the Springfield Indivisible Steering Committee) suggests a few guidelines for posting in the group. We ask that you honor these guidelines in order to 1) keep our focus on resisting Trump's agenda through legislative action; 2) maintain mutual respect and solidarity. We have any AMAZING community and we want to make sure that all of us together maintain its STRENGTH and POSITIVITY so that we can continue fighting to protect progressive values and resist Trumpism everywhere! Guidelines: DO CONTINUE TO POST: >calls to action as they arise. >announcements of activist events for the progressive values we share. >links to article on legitimate news relevant to our struggle. >your own stories of struggle and resistance and your encouragement to others. THINK TWICE ABOUT POSTING: >'memes': image posts with captions intended to be humorous or provoke a strong reaction. There are plenty of places for memes already; please HELP our group action items reach as many members as possible by not pushing them down the page. POSTS THAT WILL BE REMOVED: >'Trolling': deliberately disruptive statements to hijack threads or throw discussions off-track >spam, linkbaiting, commercial solicitations and personal promotion unrelated to our activist goals. >defamatory, offensive, discriminatory, hateful, or violent language (which, honestly, we're not worried about with this beautiful crowd, but you should know that this is a safe space for everyone). Do NOT pile-on (dogpile) when you see a disagreement. This creates a toxic environment. The line between disagreement and abuse (dragging) is easy to cross on social media. Think twice before you post, especially if you're feeling a bit heated. Do NOT call out other members for not being as committed to progressive causes if you have a disagreement about how we pursue our shared goals. That is not how we are going to move forward, and it is not acceptable in our community.
