This is a place for people interested in getting involved in Indivisible to make connections in the Hopedale area! Hopedale was founded as a socialist utopia in the 19th century, and is considered the most successful utopian community of the era, having lasted 17 years. Under the leadership of Rev. Adin Ballou, Hopedale hosted abolitionists, women's rights advocates, and peace activist from around the country, and actively worked to end slavery, elevate women's place in society, and stop government abuse through nonviolent means.
