Welcome to Indivisible CO-5, a Progressive political action group for Colorado US Congressional District 5 residents, noted as being the 3rd most conservative district in the country. Hopefully, it will turn Blue soon! Our goals are simple: facilitate community understanding of Progressive political concepts, and contribute to growing grassroots momentum restore a true functional democracy in our country, a democracy 'of the people, by the people, and for the people' as was intended by our founding fathers. A democracy where we, the people, and our elected representatives in government, work together to keep an active dialogue going, about issues, concerns and problems the country and our people are facing. And together, generate ideas and solutions, and begin the hard work of facilitating community understanding and consensus to implement them. Some of the services we offer: -Links to news, articles and information about pending legislation, appointments investigative committee findings, political process and lingo, analysis of current events -CTA Calls to Action List a weekly list of things you can do, important events and meetings to attend, and calls you can make to your legislators, with talking points to convey your thoughts on how they should vote on upcoming legislation, Presidential nominees to Cabinet positions and leadership roles in Federal Departments and Agencies or funding and budget issues. -a calendar of community events and meetings, upcoming town halls with legislators, district office visits, discussion groups, resistance marches, rallies, and gratitude visits to local government agencies struggling with big budget cuts and still managing to do essential work in the community -a community of energetic, dedicated, people who want to build community, voter turnout, spread enthusiasm for our democracy and share a common purpose, making our voices heard in unison by our elected government officials, when it's time for them to make important decisions, laws and policy changes that affect us all and the future of our nation.
