Action: Our focus--primarily local. Concentrate on learning issues, the actions themselves, and the results. 2. Perspective: OCCASIONAL posts of tangential news, opinions, poems, humor, etc. Guard against distracting from actions. Facebook is not a good place to change minds or settle controversies; face-to-face is much better. 3. Facts: Do the research it takes to find reputable sources, because they are the best we have. 4. Kindness: Treat members as your fellow human beings. No ad hominem attacks. No name-calling. No profanity. No violence or threats. No anger or judgment targeting members. 5. Respect: State your point, then allow other members to have their say whether or not you agree with them. No multiple posts or comments aimed at dominating a conversation. No duplicate postings, except to bring items back to the top. Respect confidentiality. No broadcasting private information, discussions, or messages without permission. 6. Connection: Communication is crucial to our effectiveness, but FaceBook makes it difficult. Instead, engage with members at our meetings. Plan. Rally. Talk. Give us your contact information. Start a discussion group. Let us know what’s important to you. Visit our website. Deleting posts/comments and blocking members is exceedingly rare. Let’s keep it that way.
