The HPTA community spreads awareness about our nation's profound inequities and organizes for fair access to power, wealth, and resources for all. Hillsborough Progressives Taking Action (HPTA) es un grupo de vecinos trabajando en equipo para promover justicia económica, política y racial en nuestra comunidad. WHO ARE WE? We are HILLSBOROUGH, an accepting, supportive, non-partisan community in central North Carolina, diverse in race, ethnicity, religion, sexual orientation and gender identity, nationality, and ability. We are PROGRESSIVE and believe that a fair democratic society and sustainable equity can only be achieved through systematic government reform that prioritizes the rights of the individual. We are TAKING ACTION by demanding accountability and social responsibility from corporate and political institutions.' MEMBERSHIP: We invite you to join HPTA if you identify as being a member of the wider Hillsborough community, or have a stake in the well-being of the Hillsborough community, or want to contribute to or learn from the activities of the HPTA group. Members from all political parties are welcome to join as long as they support the progressive mission of the group. Otherwise, we respectfully encourage you to find another local group in which you can utilize your passions, talents, and energy.
