Democracy Unleashed in Newton

We are a Huddle born out of the Women's March movement, drawn together by our passion for actively protecting and strengthening our democracy and progressive ideas, in response to the 2016 presidential election. Many of our members are new to politics and we felt overwhelmed by the threats to our progressive ideals. Our group's aim is to have its members take on their particular causes and report back to the others, so that we can collectively take specific political action without having to research everything individually. Our FB page serves as a tool to share information for political action - local/state/federal issues, petitions, rallies, scripts for calling Senators & Representatives etc. We meet in Newton, MA once a month. We have set this up as a 'closed group' on Facebook, but welcome newcomers.
