We are a group of humans and organizations committed to the defunding of unjust policies, politicians, and organizations. Step One: Defund DAPL. As an organization, our mission is to change the playing field for ordinary citizens by using the leverage of the dollar. Our current goal, to defund the Dakota Access Pipeline with our resources in Columbus, presents several opportunities. The first objective is to get the city of Columbus's operating and payroll funds out of Chase Bank and require that future investment choices be made with banks whose investment choices benefit the community. 1. Build a coalition of organizations and people (work with us!) 2. Draft an ordinance 3. Gain support of a council member to act as ally 4. Build grassroots support for the ordinance 5. Get it passed! Currently focusing on the drafting of the ordinance and building word of mouth awareness. Like, follow, reach out, and keep an eye out for updates!
