The Working Families Party Fights for civil rights, real wages, clean air and water, universal healthcare, and access to the democratic process. Join us! The Working Families Party of Carson City is a political organization formed by those who believe that the Democratic party has abandoned its liberal and progressive values. The Party seeks to influence political decisions and policy through grass roots efforts and running candidates in elections at all levels of government. The party's main concerns are jobs, healthcare, raising the minimum wage, universal paid sick days, the student debt crisis, higher taxes on the rich, public education, and energy and environmental reform. It has usually cross-endorsed progressive Democratic or Republican candidates through fusion voting, but will occasionally run its own candidates.
