The Anti Police-Terrorism Project is a project of the ONYX Organizing Committee in collaboration with individuals and organizations who are dedicated to developing a replicable and sustainable model for ending police terrorism in communities of color.The APTP is a focused attempt to get off of the defense and onto the offense in the war being waged by police against Black people and other oppressed nationalities.The APTP has been actively meeting for the last two years, but the project itself was coming into formation for over two years before that.The APTP has a coordinating committee that is made up primarily of POC and is the acting leadership body for APTP although all decisions are run by the larger group for consensus and feedback. Lead organizations of the coordinating committee include ONYX, CRC, Idriss Stelley Foundation, Black Power Network, and Workers World.
