NC Women United (NCWU) is a coalition of progressive organizations and individuals working to achieve the full political, social, and economic equality of all women across North Carolina. NCWU works to build women’s power through grassroots activism, community organizing, legislative advocacy, and engagement in the political process.
Action NC’s mission is to confront and reduce the root causes of poverty, underdevelopment, and social and economic inequality through grassroots education, training, organization and mobilization. We organize in poor and working-income communities full of talented and committed people looking for an opportunity to work together to build a stronger and more secure future. We reach out to them in a variety of ways to offer them the opportunity to join, organize, fight, and win.
The UNCG College Democrats are an organization of politically engaged, progressive college students. We were first officially founded in 1955, when Weeta White, a history major from Winston-Salem, organized the first meeting of a “Young Democrats Club” on November 8th of that year. Young and College Democrats have been on campus almost continuously ever since, working for voter registration and progressive reform. This year, we’re going the extra step. We’re reaching out, raising funds, and giving our members the tools we need to lead local campaigns to victory.
FLIP NC is a Durham-based Indivisible group taking targeted, evidence-based action to elect progressives in North Carolina. In January 2017, a handful of friends met over beers to figure out how we could fight against gerrymandering and the failed policies of the North Carolina GOP.
Charlotte Pride is the leader in LGBTQ visibility in Charlotte and the Carolinas. We present and collaborate on programs, projects, and activities, including the annual Charlotte Pride Festival and Parade, Charlotte Trans Pride, Charlotte Latin Pride, and Reel Out Charlotte, among others. Since its founding in 2000, Charlotte Pride has expanded its year-round programming and partnerships to better connect community members with its mission, vision, and values. It is now one of the largest LGBTQ Pride organizations in the American Southeast.

The Southern Coalition for Social Justice is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization founded in August 2007 in Durham, North Carolina by a multidisciplinary group, predominantly people of color, who believe that families and communities engaged in social justice struggles need a team of lawyers, social scientists, community organizers and media specialists to support them in their efforts to dismantle structural racism and oppression.
