The College Democrats of North Carolina is the official student arm of the NC Democratic Party. Mission: To organize college campuses statewide on behalf of the Democratic Party, and to continue to elect progressive candidates to national, state, and local offices.
The UNCG College Democrats are an organization of politically engaged, progressive college students. We were first officially founded in 1955, when Weeta White, a history major from Winston-Salem, organized the first meeting of a “Young Democrats Club” on November 8th of that year. Young and College Democrats have been on campus almost continuously ever since, working for voter registration and progressive reform. This year, we’re going the extra step. We’re reaching out, raising funds, and giving our members the tools we need to lead local campaigns to victory.
